Befriending the Brain and Body in Trauma Therapy

If you're a counselor who wants to feel more confident supporting trauma survivors, this training will offer you a grounded, compassionate path forward. Rooted in the latest neurobiological research, this training will deepen your understanding of how trauma lives in our nervous systems and bodies and will give you practical tools to support your clients’ healing. In this training you will learn how to:

  • Define trauma and its neurological and somatic impact on clients

  • Identify common somatic and nervous system responses to trauma and identify their presentation in clinical settings

  • Apply basic neuro-informed and somatic assessment skills and clinical interventions

Whether you're new to trauma work or looking to refine your approach, this training will strengthen your confidence in supporting clients on their path to healing from trauma.
